Dating direct is a matching site backed by the internet dating giants Match and Meetic and delivers a very similar service. It is a straightforward and easy to use service that is pitched at perhaps a slightly younger and more down to earth market than the other two.
There are several nice features on the site and the search system is fairly advanced. Notably there are some natty search options such as ‘born on the same day’ ‘perfect match’ ‘reverse match’ and others. This is a fun way to create different lists of profiles and navigate your way through the very considerable number of people on this site.
Dating direct is registered to and address in London, but in reality is very closely associated with the better established match.com. Some links on the homepage even link out to match.com and the companies only make very limited attempts to hide their connection to one another. None of this is bad news for the customer; if anything, quite the reverse. The more these big dating players share their services and expertise the better service they can deliver for you.
Unfortunately one annoying feature that Dating Direct shares with its partners is the presence of multiple adverts within the product, advertising other dating services. This is distracting and makes the service look cheap. At dating-experts we think it a shame that the company has ‘sold out’ in this way; especially as the services being promoted are often not as good as dating-direct itself.
The registration process is very easy to complete at its most basic level. A full profile may take more time, but the basic set up you should be able to complete in 1 to 5 minutes. One you’ve done that, the rest is easy and you can immediately start browsing through profiles that come with at least one picture visible. Even messaging is free for the first exchanges, but if you wish to develop a conversation with another member you will need to subscribe for full membership rights. These are mid-priced with 1 month subscription coming in at £29.99, and the cheapest package being available for only £12.99.

You can view profile pictures (not all but at least one) without paying for the service first. This way you can get an idea of who is online locally before you pay.
Very similar to its dating site cousins (Match and Meetic). So if you have already tried one of these and are expecting something new, it might be a disappointment
