About Elite Singles
Elite Singles is one of the biggest dating websites branded to attract elitesingles in the UK. It aims to create a community where aspirational people, or people from higher income and education groups can be introduced to one another. Principally this site is aimed at the over 30s.
Elite Singles is strictly a matching site and it recommends suitable elitesingles to you based on how you filled out the detailed and lengthy registration questionnaire. The idea is that rather than having to spend hours browsing through profiles, elitesingles’ algorithm will find you the most suitable matches and deliver them to your match list. This saves time, but can also be frustrating if you are not happy with the relatively small number of matches you receive at any one time.
The questionnaire you need to complete to register with elitesingles is long and at times repetitive. However, one side benefit is that once you’ve completed the process, you do get to see how you’ve ‘scored’ and you can view your personality report in the profile section of the site.
There are quite a few features which you can use for free on this site. For example you can ‘smile’ at another match and even send a first message. However, to communicate properly elitesingles will be asking you for a subscription and the prices are, as you might expect, at the higher end of the range. Saying this, you don’t have to be a millionaire and the lowest spend to get involved is a shade over £80 for 1 months subscription.
Elitesingles is owned by a Berlin based company called Affinitas (sounds more scary than it is!) that runs many well established dating sites on the continent. Most notably edarling which has been trading in Germany since 2009.
There is a lot of information about your matches available on elitesingles (This is the plus side of having to spend half an hour or more registering). You can see their personality profile (are they more open minded or conscientious for example), their hobbies, what their top priorities in life are etc. In other words, if you are into the idea of really being scientific about your dating and only going out with people who meet your pre-defined criteria, then this site really does allow you to do this.
Overall elitesingles is an interesting addition to the list of mainstream dating providers in the UK. It is branded to be selective and, at its best, this approach attracts 'the right kind of people' who are happy to give a lot of information about their preferences and personality in order to be accurately matched. With its surplus of information, the site would naturally appeal to those who believe in systems and criteria based matching. However, beware, anything with elite in the title is going to attract more than its fair share of gold diggers, and you should be extra vigilant when using such a platform.
