Review (Guardian Soulmates)
Soulmates Guardian. Is it really for you?
Soulmates is the Guardain dating servce that many left leaning singles turn to as their first port of call when considering online dating. There’s no doubt that for a certain type, soulmates generates just the kind of introductions they are looking for. As with all the best brands, the guardian has a self-selecting community on its soulmates service. Basically do you read the Guardian? Do you agree with its views?
Is your Soulmate a Guardian Reader?
If you’re not such a fan of the Guardian newspaper, you might still be tempted to try their service, thinking that it will at least get you in touch with broadsheet readers, even if you don’t see entirely eye to eye on all issues. The problem for your non-socialist high-brow single is that, at first glance, there are not many other well developed broadsheet dating services out there. This is to some extent true as while both the Times and Telegraph has dating offers, neither of them are anything like as well-known or popular as Soulmates. Guardian services online just got there that bit earlier than the others and, still now, that early advantage shows.
What to do if you don’t like the Guardian, but still lust after a well-educated Soulmate.
However, there are other convincing high-brow dating offers out on the market that are well used and convincingly ‘elite’. One of our favourites is Lovestruck. This well established player has good membership levels and is focused largely around the same audience as the Guardian, just without any political overtones. Lovestruck is pitched directly at young professionals and encourages them to go on dates around their places of work.
There are also several other up-market dating sites reviewed on this site. To get the best selection for you, just fill out the search box at the top left hand corner of this page and get a list of our recommendations for your needs.
