Loveflutter - review

Very much pitched as an alternative kind of dating, loveflutter seeks to counteract the perceived shallowness of some mobile dating apps by refocusing on the messaging over the visual content. To achieve this, personal statements are written over profile pictures so that other users have to see what you have said about yourself at the same time they judge you visually.

The app seeks to celebrate diversity and encourages its users to express themselves beyond the standard lines by asking them questions about their unusual habits, traits or interests. Hence the tagline "Meet quirky people and suggest the best dating ideas nearby". (Like many of the newer apps Loveflutter also encourages its members to make and share good dating locations).

Loveflutter has created some great press coverage around the idea of non-picture based matching (their recent dating events feature hopefuls getting to know each other with paper bags over their heads) and the layout and design seem spot on. If you're a quirky person, but not so quirky that you've eschewed all online dating apps, then Loveflutter could be for you.
